The Galgotias Tech Council (GTC) is the apex student-led technical body at Galgotias University, established with the vision to foster a culture of innovation, research, and technological excellence. Functioning under the aegis of the university’s leadership and academic departments, the Council serves as the nerve center for all technical clubs, student innovation cells, and tech-driven initiatives on campus.

Mission and Vision

Vision:

To transform Galgotias University into a hub of cutting-edge technological learning and development by encouraging student-led innovation and entrepreneurship.

Mission:

  • To empower students with hands-on technical knowledge through clubs, projects, and workshops.
  • To create a dynamic ecosystem where creativity, problem-solving, and industry-aligned skills are nurtured.
  • To facilitate collaborations with government bodies, industries, and international institutions to expose students to real-world challenges.

Structure of the Council

The Galgotias Tech Council comprises:

  • Core Committee – A group of selected student leaders, faculty coordinators, and advisors overseeing all operations.
  • Technical Clubs – Thematic clubs covering domains like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Design, Web3, Cybersecurity, FinTech, Astronomy, and more.
  • Event Task Forces – Specialized teams formed for ideation, planning, and execution of major events such as Tech Conclave, Hackathons, and Innovation Summits.

Key Functions and Initiatives

  1. Organizing Flagship Events:
    • Galgotias Tech Conclave – North India’s largest student-led tech and innovation festival.
    • HackMTMI – A 24-hour national-level hackathon tackling real-world problems.
    • Ideates – A startup and business pitch competition with mentorship and investor access.
  2. Skill Development and Mentorship:
    • Weekly and monthly technical workshops in fields like machine learning, blockchain, Web3, embedded systems, and design thinking.
    • Industry expert sessions, alumni talks, and soft skill bootcamps.
  3. Collaboration and Outreach:
    • MoUs and partnerships with companies, research institutions, and government innovation programs.
    • Student participation in national platforms like Smart India Hackathon (SIH), Toycathon, YUKTI Innovation Challenge, and more.
  4. Recognition and Awards:
    • Monthly and annual awards such as Club of the Month and Tech Excellence Awards to celebrate outstanding student contributions.
