Centre for Diplomacy, Dialogues & Debates (CDDD)

menu_book Purpose & Institutional Intent

In the contemporary global academic environment, universities play a critical role in nurturing students’ abilities in critical thinking, diplomacy, leadership, and informed discourse. Participation in forums such as Model United Nations (MUNs), G20 simulations, debates, and quizzes significantly enhances students’ analytical skills, communication competence, and global awareness. The Centre for Debate, Diplomacy & Dialogue (CDDD) is a student-driven initiative at Galgotias University dedicated to creating a culture of informed discussion, diplomacy, leadership, and effective communication...

At present, these activities often function independently. There is a strong need to institutionalize and unify these intellectual engagements under a formal university body to ensure quality training, structured mentoring, and official representation of Galgotias University.

Model United Nations & G20 at Galgotias University

groups Model United Nations (TGUMUN)

Galgotias University’s Model United Nations (MUN) and G20 initiatives are designed to provide students with a platform to engage with global affairs, diplomacy, leadership, and policy-making in an immersive and practical environment.

While MUN introduces participants to the functioning of international organisations and the art of multilateral diplomacy, the Model G20 experience focuses on contemporary global economic, social, environmental, and geopolitical challenges. Through committee sessions, moderated discussions, negotiations, and policy-oriented debates, participants are encouraged to look beyond theoretical learning and understand how real-world decisions are shaped.

The purpose extends beyond simply simulating international institutions. These conferences aim to develop confident communicators, critical thinkers, effective negotiators, and responsible future leaders. Participants learn to research complex issues, represent diverse perspectives, defend their positions, negotiate solutions, and work collaboratively despite differences.
