The Galgotias G-20 Summit Simulation (TG-G20)
The TG-G20 Summit at Galgotias University is an immersive simulation of the G20’s diplomatic and decision-making processes. It provides participants with an opportunity to engage with pressing global challenges through debate, negotiation, collaboration, and policy deliberation.
Unlike a traditional MUN, which primarily simulates the functioning of the United Nations and focuses on resolutions through structured committee debate, the TG-G20 Summit focuses on economic cooperation, policy coordination, and consensus-building among major economies. This creates a more policy-driven environment where delegates work towards practical and collective solutions.
The G20 does not have a permanent secretariat. Its work is organised through different tracks under the presidency of the host country.
The Three G20 Policy Tracks
Finance Track
Macroeconomic and financial stability, fiscal policy, financial regulation, taxation, global economic risks, infrastructure financing, and digital currencies.
Sherpa Track
Broader socio-economic issues, climate, energy, health, education, trade, digital development, food security, and multilateral development bank reforms.
Engagement Groups
Youth (Y20), Business (B20), Civil Society (C20), Think20 (T20), Academia, and Labour representation ensuring grassroots and expert contributions.
