Mental Health Support & Wellness

Student Workshops & Programmes

Programmes and interactive sessions were organized in association with the NeverAlone Platform, GCMH and AIIMS, New Delhi.

  • Between Screens and Selves: Resilience in the Digital Age : In response to the growing digital and emotional challenges faced by students, Between Screens and Selves: Resilience in the Digital Age, led by Dr. Deepika Dahima, Scientist-C, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Delhi, invited students to examine their relationship with technology in an increasingly screen-driven world. The session focused on cultivating mindful digital habits and restoring balance in daily life.
  • Wings of Encouragement: Strengthening Self-Belief and Team Bonds:
Wings of Encouragement workshop focused on how self-belief, appreciation, and supportive relationships can shape the way students connect, communicate, and work together. Through interactive group activities and reflective exercises, students identified their individual strengths and considered how small acts of encouragement can influence self-belief and team dynamics.
  • Seeds of Possibility: From Problems to Pathways : Seeds of Possibility workshops encouraged students to look beyond problems and explore the possibilities that can emerge from challenging situations. The session focused on recognising personal strengths, shifting perspectives, and identifying practical pathways when one feels stuck or overwhelmed. Through interactive activities and guided reflection, participants explored how they could respond to difficulties with greater flexibility and a stronger sense of agency. The session was facilitated by the Never Alone team.
  • Body Stories: Let's Rethink Our Relationship With Our Bodies : Our relationship with our bodies is shaped not only by how we see ourselves, but also by the messages we receive from society, media, and those around us. Body Stories invited students to reflect on body image, comparison, appearance-based expectations, and the impact these can have on self-worth. Through conversations and reflective activities, participants explored ways of developing a more compassionate and accepting relationship with their bodies, moving beyond appearance to recognise their bodies for their experiences, abilities, and individuality.
  • Roots and Routes: Belonging, Identity, and Finding Your Place: As part of The Inner Compass Workshop Series, an initiative focused on strengthening emotional resilience, psychological well-being, and reflective practices within the university community, the Centre for Mental Health conducted a workshop titled “Roots and Routes: Belonging, Identity, and Finding Your Place” in collaboration with the Never Alone Initiative by AIIMS New Delhi, the The Chopra Foundation, and the Mental Health Foundation (India). The session was facilitated by Aarushi Narang, Research Scholar and Mental Health Professional. The event witnessed active participation from over 150 students and faculty members.
  • Gender, Emotion and Identity: Unlearning Who You Were Told to Be: Centre for Mental Health, Galgotias University, conducted a workshop titled “Gender, Emotion & Identity: Unlearning Who We Were Told to Be”, in collaboration with the Never Alone Platform, GCIH & AIIMS, New Delhi by Dr. Deepika Dahima, Scientist-C, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi. & Harshul Arora Counselling Psychologist. The session was designed to encourage participants to critically reflect on the ways in which gender norms and social expectations shape emotional expression, behaviour, relationships, and identity. The workshop created a safe, inclusive, and reflective space where participants could explore the messages they have received about how they are expected to behave, feel, communicate, and relate to others based on gender.
