B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Programme Overview

The Electronics & Communication Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of the highest caliber. The ever challenging needs of technological excellence in all the major areas of Electronics & Communication Engineering such as Communication Engineering, VLSI Design, Robotics, microprocessors & microcontrollers, digital and analog electronics, mobile and computer networks, biomedical instrumentation, digital signal & image processing, Integrated electronics and circuits, network & systems, measurements & instrumentation motivate to opt  Electronics & Communication Engineering one of the most chosen branches of Engineering & Technology. The Electronics & Communication Engineering stream, which is very relevant to the requirement of modern fast developing industries, is the evergreen branch. Extensive  project based learning is embedded in curricula to enhance technical skills of students as per industry needs.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering offers a regular four year B. Tech. program in Electronics & Communication  Engineering as well as post graduate program in  Communication Engineering and VLSI Design . In addition to the strong undergraduate program in  Electronics & Communication Engineering, the department has world class infrastructure & teaching facilities. The infrastructure and lab facilities are up to the international standards and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate the technological skills. The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publish papers in IEEE and other top international journals. The department also plans to undertake many research projects sponsored by both the government and the industry.

B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Bio-Medical Engineering)

Programme Overview

The Programme is a multidisciplinary field that combines Electronics & Communication Engineering and Bio-Medical Engineering to solve the problems related to healthcare industry. In addition to the conventional courses, such as, Communication Engineering, VLSI Design, Robotics, microprocessors & microcontrollers, mobile computing, digital signal & image processing, the programme also deals with bio-medical measurements & instrumentation, bio-medical electronics and their applications in healthcare industry. Graduates of this course will be able to solve biomedical engineering problems associated with human organs. The curriculum is intended to prepare graduates in designing, modeling and develop medical equipment.

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

The Electrical Engineering stream, which is very relevant to the requirement of modern fast developing industries, is the evergreen branch and mother of all engineering branches related to the Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a regular four year B. Tech. program in Electrical Engineering as well as post graduate program in Power Electronics & Drives. M.Tech in Communication Engineering

Programme Overview

Communication Engineering  has been rapidly growing and evolving over the past few years. Ubiquitous communication is becoming a necessity for the society. The proposed M.Tech. Program is designed to offer not only in-depth theoretical knowledge in the area of Communications, Signal Processing, and Wireless Networks,Antenna Design,Mobile communication, Internet of Things, optical communication but also system modeling and integration aspects emphasizing overall system behavioral studies in a laboratory. Such courses are unique and fall in-line with the requirements from the industries. At the end of the programme the student achieves the ability to identify pressing research issues and research directions in Communications, Signal Processing, and Wireless Networks.

M.Tech in VLSI Design

Programme Overview

The post-graduate program in VLSI Design aims at providing fundamental concepts related to VLSI Devices, Analog Circuits, Technology and Applications. The focus areas of the program include Digital & Analog VLSI Design, Semiconductor Devices & Modeling and IC technology & Testing of IC. The students of the program are trained to understand the complete VLSI design flow using various industry standard CAD tools to develop integrated chips for different applications. The curriculum of the program has been developed  to impart knowledge on VLSI design through various program core and elective courses and improve the engineering skills of the students through project component integrated within the courses.

M.Tech in Power System Engineering

M. Tech. Power System engineering programme aims at training graduate engineers in the field of Power Systems. It deals with issues at the intersection of electric power, economics and management of power and provides professional knowledge in power generation, transmission and distribution, and power equipment.
