Professor, School of Hospitality & NSS Programme Coordinator, Galgotias University
Dr. Akhilesh Pandey is a Professor in the School of Hospitality, specializing in Food Production and Indian Cuisine, and serves as the NSS Programme Coordinator at Galgotias University, leading a vibrant team of 10 NSS Units with over 1,000 student volunteers. He is responsible for coordinating NSS Units and Programme Officers, planning and monitoring community outreach programmes, organizing special camps and awareness activities, and promoting youth leadership, social responsibility, community service, and nation-building.

Dr. Pallavi Sharma
Pallavi Sharma is currently serving as the Programme Officer of NSS Unit–1 and an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering. She is deeply committed to fostering social responsibility and holistic development among students through various impactful community initiatives.
Under her leadership, NSS Unit–1 has successfully organized a range of socially relevant and awareness-driven programs. These include large-scale Plantation Drives promoting environmental sustainability, Poshan Pakhwada focusing on nutrition awareness, Tuberculosis Awareness Campaigns, and Road Safety Drives aimed at educating youth and the public on essential safety measures. Each event under her guidance not only aligns with national priorities but also actively engages students in community service, instilling a sense of civic duty and empathy.
Through her dual role as an academic and a social service facilitator, Pallavi Sharma continues to inspire students to grow as responsible citizens and change-makers in society.
Dr. Anurag kumar
Dr. Anurag Kumar is currently serving as the Programme Officer of NSS Unit–2 and an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the School of Basic Sciences. A seasoned professional with a rich blend of academic and industry experience, he adopts a visionary perspective on youth leadership, social responsibility, and community engagement. His consistent dedication to developing disciplined, socially aware student volunteers has earned him widespread admiration both within and outside the university. Over the past three years, Dr. Anurag Kumar has dedicated himself to teaching with a rare blend of empathy, innovation, and purpose. He has inspired countless students by connecting classroom concepts to real-world scenarios and instilling in them a strong foundation of values and ethical thinking.
Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma

Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma is a dynamic academician, youth mentor, event coordinator, and dedicated social-service professional serving as the NSS Program Officer of Unit-3 at Galgotias University. With a distinctive combination of academic experience, professional exposure, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to community service, he has emerged as an active force in strengthening youth participation and social engagement through NSS.
With 7+ years of teaching experience, Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma has mentored and guided students through academic, co-curricular, leadership, and community-oriented activities. His approach goes beyond conventional classroom teaching, focusing on leadership development, practical learning, teamwork, communication skills, discipline, social responsibility, and nation-building values.
His professional journey also includes extensive experience in the corporate and marketing sector, providing him with valuable expertise in strategic planning, event management, communication, stakeholder coordination, team building, execution, and large-scale programme management. He effectively brings this professional experience into NSS activities, enabling students to experience organized, impactful, and professionally managed community programmes.

Under the leadership and coordination of Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma, NSS Unit-3 has established itself as one of the most active and prominent NSS units of Galgotias University, distinguished by its consistent programme engagement, enthusiastic volunteer participation, diverse social initiatives, and strong focus on community impact.

Ms. Astha Srivastava
Ms. Astha Srivastava is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, and serves as the NSS Programme Officer of Unit 04. She holds a B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing and has 7.5 years of teaching and academic experience in the field of Nursing Education.
She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. and is actively engaged in teaching, student mentoring, academic activities, research, and community-based health initiatives. As an NSS Programme Officer, she contributes to the overall development of NSS volunteers by promoting social responsibility, leadership, community participation, health awareness, and service to society.
She has been actively involved in organizing and coordinating various health awareness programmes, community outreach activities, cleanliness drives, plantation activities, awareness campaigns, and NSS events. Her approach focuses on encouraging students to develop empathy, teamwork, leadership skills, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Dr. Nabarun Roy
Dr. Nabarun Roy has been serving as the Programme Officer of the NSS Unit 5 at Galgotias University since October 2022, successfully handling a full unit comprising 100 dedicated student volunteers. As an Assistant Professor in the School of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Roy brings both academic depth and community engagement to the forefront of student development. Under his dynamic leadership, the unit has executed a wide array of impactful activities in alignment with the guidelines of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. These include events like 7-Day NSS Special Camp, Student Police Experiential Learning Programme, Meri Maati Mera Desh, Amrit Kalash Yatra, Swachhta Hi Seva, Voter Awareness Rally, Awareness on Road Traffic Accidents, World Environment Day Celebration (Ek Ped Maa ke Naam), Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, Yuva Samvad, National Nutrition Week, Pariksha pe charcha, Watershed yatra, Mission Shakti and all other key events on the NSS Annual Calendar. Through his mentorship, students learn the true essence of NSS — Not Me, But You — by participating in socially relevant and nation-building activities.
Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Sharma
Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences

Dr. Jyoti Sharma is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS), Galgotias University, and Programme Officer of NSS Unit–6. She is an academician, researcher, disability educator, and community-engagement advocate, committed to promoting social responsibility, youth development, health awareness, and meaningful community participation among students.
Through her role as NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Jyoti Sharma actively facilitates and coordinates socially relevant, health-oriented, and youth-focused initiatives that encourage students to contribute towards community welfare and nation-building. Under her leadership, NSS Unit–6 has undertaken various awareness and outreach activities, including Anti-Ragging Awareness, Har Ghar Tiranga, Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, community health and awareness initiatives, rallies, pledges, and other socially relevant programmes.
Her academic background in physiotherapy enables her to integrate health promotion, preventive healthcare, disability awareness, community health, and rehabilitation perspectives into NSS activities. She encourages students to develop leadership, communication, teamwork, empathy, discipline, and a strong sense of social responsibility through active participation in community-based programmes.
Through her dual responsibilities as an academician and NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Jyoti Sharma strives to empower students to become socially conscious, responsible, and compassionate citizens. Dr. Yogesh Tripathi
Dr. Yogesh Tripathi is serving as the NSS Programme Officer of Unit 7 at Galgotias University. With a strong commitment to community service, student development, and social responsibility, he actively works to engage NSS volunteers in meaningful social and community-oriented activities.
As Programme Officer, he coordinates various NSS awareness campaigns, social outreach programmes, cleanliness drives, educational initiatives, health and environmental activities, and community service programmes. His efforts focus on developing leadership, teamwork, empathy, discipline, and a sense of social responsibility among students.
Through dedicated involvement in NSS activities, he encourages young volunteers to contribute positively to society and become responsible and socially conscious citizens.
Dr. Sonia Setia
Dr. Sonia Setia is currently serving as the Programme Officer of NSS Unit–8 and a Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), School of Artificial Intelligence, Galgotias University. She is deeply committed to promoting social responsibility, youth engagement, and holistic development among students through meaningful community outreach and nation-building initiatives.
Under her supervision, NSS Unit–8 has actively organized and participated in a range of socially relevant and youth-oriented programs. These include Har Ghar Tiranga, aimed at fostering patriotism and national pride; Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, focusing on creating awareness among youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging a healthy and responsible lifestyle; Yuva Samvad, providing a platform for young people to engage in meaningful discussions on social and national issues; and Khelo India Samvaad, promoting sports participation, fitness, teamwork, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle among youth.
Through her dual role as an academician and NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Sonia Setia continues to inspire students to actively contribute to society, develop leadership and communication skills, and embrace the values of service, discipline, patriotism, and social responsibility. Dr. Bhoomika

Prof. (Dr.) Bhoomika is a Professor and Program Chair–UG in the Department of Life Sciences, School of Biosciences and Technology (SBT), Galgotias University, and serves as the NSS Programme Officer of Unit–9. With extensive involvement in teaching, academic coordination, student mentoring, curriculum development, and community engagement, she is committed to fostering holistic student development and social responsibility. In her role as NSS Programme Officer, she actively coordinates and facilitates awareness campaigns, social outreach programmes, cleanliness and environmental drives, health and wellness initiatives, educational and community-service activities, national and social awareness campaigns, and other socially relevant programmes. Her academic and administrative experience enables her to connect classroom learning with meaningful community engagement and experiential learning opportunities for students. Through NSS activities, she encourages volunteers to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, empathy, discipline, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of social responsibility. She emphasizes active student participation and encourages young volunteers to understand community needs, contribute to social welfare, and develop into responsible, compassionate, and socially conscious citizens. Sushant Dabral
Assistant Professor of Law, School of Law, Galgotias University, NSS Programme Officer– NSS Law Unit–10
Sushant Dabral is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, Galgotias University, and is actively associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS) as the Programme Officer of NSS Law Unit–10. He is committed to promoting social responsibility, community engagement, legal awareness, and holistic development among students through meaningful outreach and nation-building initiatives.
Through his association with NSS, Sushant Dabral encourages students to actively participate in socially relevant programmes that promote civic responsibility, youth empowerment, community service, and awareness of important social and legal issues. His efforts focus on providing students with opportunities to connect their academic learning with real-world community needs while developing leadership, communication, teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of service.
Under his guidance, NSS Law Unit–10 actively participates in and organizes various awareness and community-oriented activities focusing on social responsibility, legal awareness, youth engagement, national integration, environmental consciousness, health and well-being, and community development. These initiatives provide students with a platform to understand social challenges, interact with communities, and contribute meaningfully towards addressing issues affecting society.
As a faculty member of the School of Law, Sushant Dabral particularly emphasizes the role of legal education in creating socially conscious and responsible citizens. He encourages students to use their legal knowledge for public service, awareness generation, access to justice, and community empowerment.
