Event Brief Description
The IBM SkillsBuild Orientation Session was successfully conducted by Galgotias Polytechnic in partnership with IBM SkillsBuild and Edunet Foundation as a CSR skill development initiative. The programme aimed to empower diploma students with future-ready, industry-relevant digital skills and create awareness about emerging technologies and career opportunities. The session was organized at the D-Block Auditorium, Campus-1, with enthusiastic participation from students across different academic years and branches. More than 300 students registered for the programme. Students were introduced to AI & Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Soft Skills. The orientation also highlighted free online certification opportunities, IBM-recognized digital credentials, self-paced learning, mentorship, career guidance, and employability enhancement. The programme encouraged students to continuously upgrade their technical and professional skills and make effective use of digital learning resources. The session successfully created awareness about the importance of industry-relevant skills and motivated students to explore further learning and certification opportunities through IBM Skills Build.

The IBM SkillsBuild Orientation Session was successfully conducted at Galgotias Polytechnic on 25 August 2026 in partnership with IBM SkillsBuild and Edunet Foundation. The programme was organized with the objective of introducing diploma students to future-ready digital skills and industry-oriented learning opportunities. The session was held at the D-Block Auditorium, Campus-1, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of different academic years and technical branches. More than 300 students registered for the programme, reflecting strong student interest in skill development and emerging technologies.
During the orientation, students were introduced to major focus areas including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Soft Skills. The session highlighted the importance of developing technical and professional competencies to meet changing industry requirements. Students were also informed about free online certification programmes, IBM-recognized digital credentials, self-paced learning, mentorship, career guidance, and job-ready skills available through IBM SkillsBuild.
The programme emphasized continuous learning, digital literacy, innovation, employability, and career readiness. Students were encouraged to take advantage of the learning resources and certification opportunities available through the programme.
The event was conducted under the valuable guidance and encouragement of Dr. Mohit Gaharwar, Principal, Galgotias Polytechnic. Mr. Gautam Singh served as Event Coordinator, with Mr. Pushpak Jain as Co-Coordinator. The organizing team included Ms. Manisha Sharma, Mr. Aman Kumar, The valuable cooperation of all faculty members, mentors, PC’s, and the Discipline/Proctor team led by Mr. Sushil Kr Singh contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
Overall, the orientation established a strong foundation for students to pursue digital learning, industry-relevant certifications, and career development opportunities.
