Event Detailed Description

The Art and Craft Competition “Samaroh-e-Kala” was organized to encourage artistic expression and creativity among students of the entire University. A total of 70 entries were received for art and craft. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their imagination, craftsmanship, and innovative ideas.

Art and craft activities have always played a crucial role in nurturing creativity and holistic growth among students. Such events go beyond academic learning, offering participants an opportunity to explore artistic skills, develop confidence, and express personal perspectives through visual art. Recognizing the significance of creativity in technical education, ACME organized “Samaroh-e-Kala” to promote cultural enrichment and interdisciplinary engagement.

Participants presented a wide spectrum of artworks—from traditional Madhubani and Warli patterns to modern abstract paintings, craft items made from scrap materials, and innovative handmade models that highlighted sustainability. The diversity of ideas showcased the students’ artistic depth and environmental awareness.

A panel of 6 judges, including senior faculty members from the department, evaluated the entries based on creativity, originality, theme relevance, aesthetic appeal, and overall presentation. Their constructive feedback and appreciation motivated students to pursue their artistic interests.

The student volunteers of ACME played an essential role in organizing the exhibition area, guiding participants, and ensuring smooth execution throughout the event.

Special appreciation goes to dedicated student volunteers—Deepak Kumar, Anirudh Dwivedi, Prakhar Rai, Sparshika, Shreyash Rai, Madhur, Rudhransh, Ridhima, Nitika—for their contributions in management, coordination, and logistical support.

The competition concluded with the announcement of winners and a brief closing ceremony by Dr. Meenakshi Awasthi, Prof. & Head, DEECE. It was a memorable and enriching experience that celebrated creativity and strengthened the cultural spirit of the department.
