Online Guest lecture on Common Bone & Joint Disorders

The School of Allied Health Sciences at Galgotias University successfully hosted an insightful online guest lecture titled “Common Bone & Joint Disorders” on 13th April 2025. The event was convened by Dr. Shagun Agrawal, Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences and Ms. Ritika Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology, served as a coordinator. The Program Chair, Mr. Amit Pratap Singh Chouhanextended a warm welcome to the guest speaker and participants. He also emphasized the importance of such expert sessions in enhancing the practical knowledge of students and staying abreast of recent trends in healthcare. The session commenced promptly at 8:00 PM and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kirti Mishra, Chief Physiotherapist at Kirti Physiotherapy Hub. As a seasoned expert in the field, Dr. Mishra brought with her a wealth of practical experience and academic understanding, which made the session both informative and engaging. Dr. Mishra began her presentation by outlining the anatomical and functional aspects of bones and joints, followed by a detailed explanation of common musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and joint dislocations. She elaborated on the causes, symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and management approaches related to these conditions. Her discussion included a strong focus on physiotherapy interventions and lifestyle modifications that help prevent or alleviate these disorders.

One of the highlights of the session was the interactive Q&A segment, where participants raised relevant and thoughtful questions. Dr. Mishra addressed each query with clarity and provided real-world examples, which enhanced the learning experience for all attendees.
