4th Field Visit Survey - Saksham 3.O

Event brief description – Saksham 3.0, in collaboration with the Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Club of Galgotias University, successfully organized its 4th field visit survey on March 9, 2025. The event was organized as on Visit on Friday, 9th March 2025, to an underdeveloped area of Chhajarsi Colony, Noida Sec. 62 Uttarpradesh to engage with the locals and address critical social concerns., The field visit was guided by Prof. Poras Raj, who shared valuable insights on the principles and practical applications of ADR mechanisms.

Event Detailed Description- The visit aimed to:

  1. On International Women's Day, Saksham 3.O, in collaboration with the Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Club of Galgotias University, took a significant step toward empowering underprivileged communities by successfully conducting its Second field visit survey at Chhijarsi Colony, Noida, on 8th March 2025. Guided by Prof. Ajay Pratap Singh from the School of Law.
  2. Many residents, particularly women, gained a clearer understanding of their legal rights and available support systems, empowering them to seek justice and legal assistance when needed. 3. Identify and address pressing issues like domestic violence and other challenges faced by the community.
  3. This initiative focused on assessing community awareness about legal aid schemes and promoting legal literacy, especially among women who often face barriers to justice.

During the visit, 70 individuals were surveyed to understand their access to essential identity documents, and they were informed about the support available through Project Saksham. The team encountered serious cases of domestic violence, including one instance where a wife reportedly assaulted her husband and his mother. These cases were handled with sensitivity, and the victims were guided about their rights and the resources available to them. This initiative highlights Project Saksham's commitment to empowering communities and promoting awareness of legal and social rights, ensuring that vulnerable individuals have access to support and justice.

    • The affected individuals were sensitively guided on their legal rights and available remedies.
  4. Guidance on ADR Mechanisms:
    • Prof. Poras Raj provided valuable insights on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques to help resolve disputes effectively.
