The School of Nursing, Galgotias University, organized an expert talk on “Empowering Nurse Innovation: A Workshop on Health Care Startups.” The session aimed to inspire nursing students to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup opportunities in healthcare.
Event Detailed Description:
The offline workshop was successfully conducted at Galgotias University on 10th June 2025, under the coordination of Ms. Ritu, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology & Bioengineering, and Head of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Galgotias University.
Dr. Kumar shared valuable insights into the growing ecosystem of healthcare startups, highlighting the critical role of nurses as innovators and entrepreneurs. He explained the process of idea generation, validation, and incubation, while also sharing real-life examples of nurse-led innovations.
The session witnessed active participation from 105 students and 05 faculty members of the B.Sc. Nursing program (semesters 4th, 6th, and 7th). An interactive Q&A session followed, where students enthusiastically raised queries about innovation opportunities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The event broadened the perspectives of students, motivating them to contribute meaningfully to healthcare entrepreneurship and innovation.
