Galgotias University’s School of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIDS), organized a transformative two-day workshop titled “AI Innovation Unleashed: Grant Writing and Hands-on with NVIDIA & Generative AI.” Held on November 21st and 22nd, 2025, the event aimed to empower students and researchers with critical skills in proposal writing and cutting-edge AI technologies. The sessions were led by renowned experts from academia and industry, including Dr. Anurag Singh (NIT Delhi), Mr. Mayank Mittal (Deutsche Telekom), and Dr. Gaurav Singal (NSUT Delhi). Participants engaged in interactive lectures, hands-on labs, and certification modules. The workshop also offered NVIDIA licenses to registered students and emphasized the importance of AI in NLP and deep learning. With over 125 attendees, the event was a resounding success, fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

The two-day workshop “AI Innovation Unleashed” commenced on November 21st, 2025, at Galgotias University’s AI Block, a hub for innovation and active learning.

Day 1 Highlights:

  • Session 1 (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM):

Topic: Writing Winning Project Proposals – From Idea to Grant

Speaker: Dr. Anurag Singh, NIT Delhi

Dr. Singh guided participants through the essentials of crafting competitive research proposals, covering ideation, structuring, budgeting, and submission strategies.

  • Session 2 (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM):

Topic: Exploration of Generative AI for NLP Tasks

Speaker: Mr. Mayank Mittal, AI Engineer, Deutsche Telekom

Mr. Mittal demonstrated real-world applications of generative AI in natural language processing, showcasing tools like ChatGPT, BERT, and LLM fine-tuning.

Day 2 Highlights (22nd November 2025):

  • Session (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM):

Topic: NVIDIA Deep Learning Fundamentals Certification Workshop

Speaker: Dr. Gaurav Singal, NSUT Delhi

This hands-on session introduced students to deep learning concepts using NVIDIA’s teaching kits. Participants completed practical exercises and earned certification upon successful completion.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Shachi Mall and Dr. Manu Singh, who ensured smooth execution and high engagement. Students who registered by November 15th received NVIDIA licenses, and all participants were required to bring laptops for hands-on activities.

The workshop concluded with a feedback session and certificate distribution, celebrating the enthusiasm and learning spirit of the attendees.
