Training Program AUTODESK Fusion, Curiosity 3D
Events Date: 3rd – 4th September 2024
A two-day training program on Fusion 3D was organized by Curiosity 3D in collaboration with the School of Engineering, Galgotias University, from 3rd to 4th September 2024. Held at LAB C-008 on campus, the program was tailored for faculty members to enhance their proficiency in Fusion 3D, a leading CAD/CAM/CAE software. This initiative aligns with a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Galgotias University and AUTODESK Fusion, Curiosity 3D, aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The training focused on practical, hands-on exposure to Fusion 3D tools used in product design and manufacturing. The collaboration seeks to strengthen faculty competencies, thereby contributing to improved technical education and knowledge transfer to students.
About Training Program
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the School of Engineering, Galgotias University, and AUTODESK Fusion, Curiosity 3D on 3rd September 2024. The collaboration aims to boost innovation, research, curriculum alignment with industry needs, and professional development. One of the key outcomes was the initiation of a two-day training program held on 3rd and 4th September 2024.
Faculty members from the School of Engineering participated in this intensive session conducted at LAB C-008, Galgotias University. Experts and engineers from Curiosity 3D conducted the sessions, which were designed to provide deep insights into Fusion 3D's functionalities — a tool pivotal in modern mechanical engineering and product development processes.
The training covered:
- Core concepts of 3D modelling and simulation
- CAD/CAM integration for manufacturing workflows
- Real-time design problem-solving
- Best practices for teaching Fusion 3D to students
This training forms part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) framework and ensures faculty are equipped with up-to-date knowledge on design technologies. The program not only empowers faculty but also reflects the institution's commitment to excellence and adaptability in emerging technologies.
