4 Years*4-year Undergraduate Degree (Honours with Research)
This is to inform all the concerned that as envisaged in NEP2020, the University has introduced a 4-year Undergraduate (UG) Degree (Honours with Research) from the academic year 2022-23
The students who secure 75% marks or a 7.5 CGPAand above, in the first six semesters, and wish to undertake research at the UG level can choose a research stream in the fourth year.
Such students should do a research project or dissertation under the guidance of a faculty member of the University. The research project/dissertation will be in the major discipline. The students who secure 160 credits, including 12 credits from a research project/dissertation, are awarded a 4-year UG Degree (Honours with Research).

4-year UG Degree with Honours
# In the event, students fail to secure 75% marks or a 7.5 CGPA in the first six semesters, they will be awarded a 4-year UG Degree with Honours only. In addition, students not undertaking research will do 3 courses for 12 credits in lieu of a research project / Dissertation.

XII with Science with minimum 50% marks
Students with a CUET / SAT (DI Code - 71057 ) score will be given preference in the merit list
For Migration from Other Universities:
1) B.Sc (Hons/Hons with Research) in Forensic Science Ist yr. minimum 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale
2) XII with Science with minimum 50% marks.
The students after completion of the program are eligible for working as forensic professional in government and private forensic science laboratories. Also, the students can opt for joining law firms, MNCs, insurance companies, banks as forensic consultant. The program offers student a wide are of employment opportunities as it has been developed after taking inputs from the members of the industry.

Multidisciplinary Forensic Foundation: Provide rigorous training in core forensic disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics) with emphasis on scientific methods, crime scene investigation techniques, and evidentiary analysis

Advanced Research Competency: Develop strong research skills through hands-on projects, dissertation work, and training in modern forensic technologies and analytical techniques

Specialized Technical Expertise: Equip students with specialized laboratory skills including DNA analysis, toxicology, fingerprint technology, and digital forensics applications

Legal and Ethical Framework: Instill understanding of criminal justice systems, courtroom procedures, and ethical responsibilities in forensic practice and evidence handling

Professional Readiness: Prepare graduates for forensic careers or advanced studies through industry collaborations, internships, and development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Apply knowledge of basic sciences to the discipline and to provide the solution in the area of forensic sciences

Employ critical thinking and the scientific knowledge to design, carry out, record and analyze the results of complex forensic problems.

Create an awareness for intricate forensic issues and propagate knowledge for public health and safety, along with the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Demonstrate the knowledge of forensic science for sustainable development of man, society and environment and provide assistance to the Criminal Justice System and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the society

Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the forensic lab professionals or Work proficiently as a member of crime investigating teams

Proficiently communicate with the forensic community and being able to understand and write effective reports, documentation and make effective presentations.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the forensic skills and apply these to one’s own work, or as a member in a team, to manage projects.
