About the Programme

The B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering (Gaming Technology) programme combines the fundamentals of Computer Science and Engineering with specialised knowledge in game development, game programming, animation, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and interactive digital experiences. The programme prepares students to develop innovative games, simulations, immersive applications, and interactive experiences using modern computing technologies.

Along with core CSE subjects such as programming, data structures and algorithms, databases, operating systems, computer networks, software engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning, students receive specialised exposure to Unity with C#, Algorithms for Gaming Development, AR/VR, and 2D and 3D Animation.

The programme emphasises practical and experiential learning through game development projects, coding, laboratory sessions, digital design, interactive simulations, hackathons, internships, and project-based assignments. Students learn to combine programming, computational thinking, graphics, animation, Artificial Intelligence, and user-experience principles to create engaging and technically robust digital experiences.

The programme follows the same industry-integrated learning ecosystem as the Core CSE programme. Students benefit from industry-integrated courses from L&T, TATA, Apple, and Infosys, along with Cisco certification courses and industry-oriented training through HCLTech, Wipro TalentNext, and Capgemini. This ensures that, in addition to their gaming specialization, students acquire industry-relevant CSE competencies and professional certifications.

On successful completion, graduates can pursue careers as Game Developers, Game Programmers, Unity Developers, AR/VR Developers, Gameplay Programmers, Simulation Developers, Technical Artists, and Interactive Application Developers.
