About the Programme

The Department offers PhD programs in Mathematics with the objective of preparing motivated researchers, who can work in frontline areas as well as to prepare well-trained teaching faculty. The vibrant academic environment of the department is nurtured by strongly motivated faculty equipped with modern tools and technology. The wide variety of disciplines at Galgotias University provides a unique environment that helps the Department to foster both core and interdisciplinary research in diverse areas of emerging science and technology such as Computational Seismology, Fuzzy Mathematics, Advanced Optimization Techniques, Mathematical Modelling, Thermodynamic, Fluid Flow, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Medical, Bioengineering, and Computational Sciences.

Eligibility

A Master's degree from a recognized Indian University or any other equivalent degree to the satisfaction of the Academic Council of the University, in the relevant field, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent.

Note: Candidates who have qualified in UGC NET/CSIR (JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. Programmes are exempted from Written Examinations.
