Event Detailed Description
The One-Day Educational Visit to the Galgotias Centre for Intelligence & Simulation (GCDIS) was successfully conducted on 29th April 2026 at Galgotias University. The event was organized by Galgotias Polytechnic in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering to provide students with hands-on exposure to modern drone technologies and simulation techniques.
The program began with an introductory session highlighting the importance of drones and intelligent systems in modern industries. Experts explained the evolution, structure, and working principles of drones. Students were introduced to key components such as flight controllers, sensors, communication systems, and propulsion mechanisms. Special emphasis was given to simulation technologies that enable testing and optimization of drone performance in virtual environments.
A live drone demonstration was one of the key highlights of the event, where students observed real-time drone operations including take-off, navigation, and landing. Practical applications such as aerial mapping, surveillance, and industrial inspections were showcased, giving students a deeper understanding of real-world implementations.
Interactive sessions allowed students to engage actively with experts, ask questions, and explore career opportunities in drone technology and intelligent systems. The event also promoted innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among students.
The organizing team extends heartfelt thanks to Mr. Puneet Saini, Incharge, Galgotias Centre for Drone Intelligence and Simulation (GCDIS), for his constant support and expert guidance. Deep appreciation is also conveyed to Dr. Meenakshi Awasthi, Head of Department (DEECE), for her motivation and leadership. The team also acknowledges the valuable support of Dr. Mohit Gaharwar, Principal, Galgotias Polytechnic, whose vision contributed significantly to the success of the event.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Gautam Singh, Program Chair, Department of Electrical Engineering, Galgotias Polytechnic, whose leadership ensured effective planning, smooth execution, and active student participation.
