Introduction
With the aim of creating awareness about women’s empowerment and gender equality, Galgotias University successfully organized Mission Shakti 5.0, under the guidance of NSS Program Officer Mr. Nishant Kumar Sharma (Unit 3).
The event was conducted over multiple days with the powerful theme — “Safety, Dignity, and Self-Reliance.” It served as a platform for students to express their creativity and commitment toward building a society where women can live with respect, independence, and confidence.
The occasion was graced by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Mallikharjuna Babu and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Avadhesh Kumar as Chief Guests, whose presence inspired and motivated all participants. Their encouragement highlighted the university’s dedication to fostering social awareness and youth-led community initiatives.
Mission Shakti 5.0 saw enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, faculty members, and students, making it one of the most impactful and meaningful social awareness events organized in Galgotias University.
Major Highlights of the Event
1. Rally for Women Empowerment
The celebration commenced with an energetic rally led by NSS volunteers and students across the Galgotias University campus. Participants held banners and charts and chanted slogans focusing on women’s safety, dignity, and self-reliance. The rally created a strong sense of unity and emphasized the importance of standing together to ensure equality and respect for women in every sphere of life.
2. Nukkad Natak (Street Play)
A thought-provoking Nukkad Natak was performed by NSS volunteers, depicting real-life challenges faced by women and the ongoing fight for equality and justice. The street play addressed key issues such as gender discrimination, social stereotypes, and women’s safety, concluding with a message of empowerment and awareness that resonated deeply with the audience.
3. Cultural Skits and Dance Performances
The cultural segment of the event was filled with emotion, creativity, and inspiration. Students presented skits and dance performances showcasing the strength, dignity, and determination of women.
A special highlight was the Ganesha Dance Performance by NSS girl volunteers, which added a spiritual and graceful essence to the program. The dance, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and divine blessings, set a positive and empowering tone for the celebrations.
4. Special Acts – Rakt Beej and Kali Maa
Two extraordinary performances, Rakt Beej and Kali Maa, captivated the audience. These acts symbolized the triumph of good over evil and portrayed the divine power, resilience, and courage of women. The powerful dramatizations by NSS volunteers received immense appreciation for their artistic impact and meaningful message.
5. Classroom Activity – Voices of Empowerment
As part of Mission Shakti 5.0, a classroom activity was conducted across all departments of Galgotias University. In this initiative, female students from every class delivered inspiring speeches on the theme of Safety, Dignity, and Self-Reliance.
This unique activity allowed each girl to express her ideas, confidence, and leadership potential. It encouraged active participation and transformed every classroom into a space of dialogue, awareness, and empowerment.
Chief Guests’ Address
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Mallikharjuna Babu and Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Avadhesh Kumar addressed the gathering and applauded the efforts of NSS Unit 3 for organizing such a meaningful and well-coordinated event.
They emphasized that true empowerment begins with awareness, education, and respect. The dignitaries encouraged students to become responsible citizens and play an active role in building a safe and equal society. Their motivational words deeply inspired the students and added immense value to the event.
The event received immense appreciation from students, faculty, and the university administration for its creativity, message, and impact.
