Mastering Global Supply Chains: Certified Supply Chain and Logistics Professional (CSLP)

From 30th November to 5th December 2025, the School of Aviation, Logistics and Tourism Management (SALTM) organized an intensive industry-led certification program titled "Certified Supply Chain and Logistics Professional (CSLP)." Conducted at the Advanced Computer Lab (A-406), this skill-based training was specifically designed for final-year students of BBA and MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The program was delivered in association with the Logistics Skill Council (LSC), an apex body under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), ensuring that our students received training that meets the highest national standards of professional excellence.

Importance and Student Benefits

In an era of globalized trade, specialized certification is the key to professional differentiation. The CSLP program provided students with:

  • Industry-Validated Expertise: Students gained a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, from procurement and warehousing to multimodal transport and last-mile delivery.
  • National Recognition: As a program backed by the LSC and NSDC, this certification carries immense weight with top-tier recruiters, verifying that the candidate possesses the specific competencies required by the Indian and global logistics industry.
  • Practical Problem-Solving: The training utilized real-world case studies and industry simulations, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts to complex logistical challenges.
  • Strategic Career Advancement: By obtaining a professional title like "Certified Supply Chain and Logistics Professional," students are positioned for accelerated growth into leadership and managerial roles within the sector.

Alignment with NSQF (National Skill Qualification Framework)

A defining feature of this program is its strict alignment with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). This framework ensures that the training is outcome-oriented and standardized across the country. By being NSQF-compliant, the CSLP certification provides our students with a "portable" set of skills that are recognized by employers nationwide, facilitating seamless mobility between academia and the professional workforce while ensuring their competencies are at par with international industry benchmarks.

Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

This certification program is a cornerstone of SALTM’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It directly supports

  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): by providing specialised vocational training that bridges the gap between traditional degrees and industry requirements.
  • SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): by significantly enhancing the employability and productivity of future logistics leaders.
  • SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): by focusing on optimising supply chains and building resilient trade networks.
  • SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): by training students in efficient resource management and waste reduction within the supply chain.
  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): by successfully collaborating with the Logistics Skill Council, demonstrating how institutional alliances can drive national development and student success.

Building the Backbone of Global Commerce

At SALTM, we recognise that logistics is the lifeblood of the global economy. By empowering our students with NSQF-aligned, industry-led certifications like the CSLP, we ensure that Galgotias University graduates are equipped to manage the complex supply chains of tomorrow with precision, sustainability, and professional integrity.
