On the occasion of National Space Day 2026, the IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter, Galgotias University, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering (DEECE), organized a highly insightful webinar on the theme “Emerging Space Technologies: India’s Journey, Global Research Perspectives and Future Opportunities” The session was delivered by Mr. Utkarsh Utsav, ISRO Scientist Ahmedabad, The webinar aimed to celebrate India’s remarkable journey in the space sector.

IEEE IAS ETalks: Space, Science & Beyond was organized by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS), Galgotias University, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Galgotias University, on the occasion of National Space Day 2026.

The webinar focused on the theme “Emerging Space Technologies: India’s Journey, Global Research Perspectives and Future Opportunities.” The session aimed to provide students and participants with insights into India’s progress in the space sector, emerging space technologies, global research developments, and the future opportunities available in the rapidly evolving space industry.

The session featured Mr. Utkarsh Utsav, Scientist, ISRO – Space Applications, as the distinguished speaker. Through the session, participants gained valuable exposure to the practical and research-oriented aspects of space technology and India's growing role in the global space ecosystem.

The event was conducted in hybrid mode, enabling both offline and online participation.
