Excellence in Process Quality: Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification Program

As a critical component of its industry-readiness initiative, the School of Aviation, Logistics and Tourism Management (SALTM) organised a specialised Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification Program for the final-year students of BBA and MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This advanced training was conducted in collaboration with the Logistics Skill Council (LSC), a premier body under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), to equip students with globally recognised process improvement methodologies.

In the competitive landscape of logistics, the ability to eliminate waste and ensure precision is a vital leadership trait. This program empowered our students with:

  • Mastery of DMAIC Methodology: Students gained deep expertise in the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) framework, enabling them to solve complex operational problems using data-driven logic.
  • Advanced Statistical Problem-Solving: The training provided hands-on experience with statistical tools like Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Charts, and Process Mapping, allowing students to identify and eliminate defects at their source.
  • Operational Efficiency & Cost Reduction: By learning to reduce process variability and remove non-value-adding activities, students are now prepared to drive significant cost savings and improve overall organisational profitability.
