Empowering Logistics Leaders: Felicitation for CSLP and Six-Sigma Green Belt Certifications
On 19th January 2026, the School of Aviation, Logistics and Tourism Management (SALTM) celebrated a significant milestone for its Logistics and Supply Chain Management department. A prestigious Felicitation Ceremony was held at the New Auditorium, C-Block, to honor final-year students of BBA and MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management who successfully secured dual professional certifications.
The students were awarded certificates for two industry-critical programs: the Certified Supply Chain and Logistics Professional (CSLP) and the Certified Six-Sigma Green Belt. Both programs were trained and certified by the Logistics Skill Council (LSC), a premier body under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India.
Importance and Student Benefits
This dual certification initiative provides our graduates with a distinct "double-advantage" in the global job market, combining specialized domain expertise with advanced process-improvement methodologies:
- Dual Professional Competency: By earning both the CSLP and the Six-Sigma Green Belt, students have demonstrated mastery over both the operational complexities of logistics and the analytical skills required for organizational efficiency.
- National and Industry Recognition: Being certified by the LSC and NSDC ensures that our students’ skills are aligned with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF), making them highly preferred candidates for leading public and private sector enterprises.
- Process Excellence Mastery: The Six-Sigma Green Belt certification equips students with data-driven techniques to eliminate defects and improve supply chain performance—a skill set that is in high demand for leadership roles.
- Accelerated Career Path: These certifications transform our students from general management graduates into "Specialized Professionals," significantly increasing their starting compensation and career progression speed within the global supply chain ecosystem.
Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
This initiative underscores SALTM’s commitment to integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into the core of its academic delivery. The program directly advances
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): by providing industry-validated, technical, and vocational training that prepares students for the complexities of the modern workforce.
- SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): by enhancing the skill sets of future logistics professionals to drive organisational efficiency, the school contributes to increased productivity and employability.
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): through the focus on optimising supply chains and reducing waste through Six-Sigma methodologies.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): The strategic collaboration between Galgotias University and the Logistics Skill Council (NSDC) serves as a powerful example of bridging the gap between national policy, academic excellence, and industry requirements.
Shaping the Future of Global Trade
At SALTM, we believe that the future of global commerce rests on the shoulders of skilled logistics professionals. By facilitating these high-level certifications, we ensure that our graduates are not only ready to participate in the industry but are equipped to lead, innovate, and transform the global supply chains of tomorrow.
