A former radio jockey turned media educator, Dr. Mehak Pandit brings a dynamic blend of industry insight and academic rigor to the classroom. With over six and a half years of teaching experience and two years in the media industry, she has been shaping young communicators at Galgotias University since 2021.
Dr. Pandit earned her doctorate from the Department of Communication Management and Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, where her research deepened her commitment to bridging media theory and practice. She currently serves as the Research Coordinator for the School of Media and Communication Studies, mentoring students in scholarly inquiry and practical media projects.
An enthusiastic content creator and mentor, Dr. Mehak Pandit is the driving force behind PLUGIN – the official podcast of the department– boasting over 100 engaging episodes that spotlight diverse voices and stories. Her dynamic presence and anchoring skills have made her a familiar face at high-profile events, including the National Hackathon ‘Toycathon 2023’ and the University Convocation attended by Former President Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
With a passion for nurturing student potential, she believes in interactive, student-centric teaching and blends traditional pedagogy with innovative methods to inspire learners. Dr. Pandit is also an active contributor to the university’s outreach and engagement initiatives, working to build stronger campus-community connections through media and communication.
