Career LaunchPad: Training and placement session for pre-final and final year students

The School of Biosciences and Technology, Galgotias University, successfully organized the two-day “Career LaunchPad” programme - Training and placement session for pre-final and final year students” on 03–04 February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Room A-205. The objective of the programme was to provide students with comprehensive insights into career opportunities and effective placement preparation. On 03rd February 2026 (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM), Dr. Nagma Abbasi, Founder and CEO of Next Gen Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., spoke on “Bridging the Gap – Industry and Academia Collaboration is the Way to Sustainable Development,” emphasizing the importance of academic–industry partnerships in fostering innovation and sustainable career growth. Later, from 12:30 PM – 04:00 PM, Dr. Cheena Chawla from Chimera Gentec Pvt. Ltd. delivered an engaging session on “How Does an Industry Recruit Technical Human Resources?”, highlighting industry expectations, recruitment processes, and the essential technical and soft skills required for employability. On 04th February 2026, from 10:00 AM, Mr. Chaitanya Chhabi, Business Development Head, Ekan Infocook LLP, discussed career opportunities, training, and placement prospects in the food industry. This was followed by a session by Mr. Vivek Kumar Singh, Director, Tacit Medtek Pvt. Ltd., who elaborated on potential job opportunities for Bioengineering students. The programme concluded with a placement preparation session conducted by Mr. Kishan Kumar, SLLL, Galgotias University, focusing on resume writing, interview techniques, aptitude preparation, and corporate readiness. The event was highly informative and interactive, equipping students with industry-oriented knowledge and practical strategies to enhance their employability. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Convenor, Prof. (Dr.) Abhimanyu Kumar Jha, (Dean SBT) and Co-Convenor, Dr. Radhey Shyam Sharma, (Distinguished Professor) and coordinated by the Heads and In-charges of all departments of SBT.
