Event Detailed Description: The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Galgotias University organized an industrial visit to Narora Atomic Power Station under the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the functioning of a nuclear power plant and its role in meeting the nation's energy requirements. During the visit, the officials, Mr. Ram Das, APRO, HR Dept and Mr. A.K. Gupta, Station Training Centre, NPCIL Narora, explained the basic principles of nuclear power generation, reactor operations, safety protocols, radiation protection measures, and the importance of maintaining high standards of operational safety. Students also gained insights into power generation, control systems, electrical equipment, and the integration of advanced technologies used in nuclear energy production. The interactive sessions with experienced engineers enhanced the students' understanding of real-world industrial practices and strengthened the connection between theoretical concepts and practical applications. Overall, the industrial visit was highly informative, enriching, and beneficial in broadening the students' technical knowledge and awareness of the nuclear power sector.
