On Wednesday, 19th November 2025, the School of Hospitality and Tourism (SOHT), Galgotias University, successfully organized an Alumni Interaction Session featuring Mr. Raman Kumar, an alumnus of Galgotias University and currently working as a Food & Beverage Supervisor at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. The session began at 11:00 AM and witnessed active participation from students across various hospitality programs.
Mr. Raman Kumar shared valuable insights into industry expectations, emphasizing essential professional skills such as communication, grooming, teamwork, and service excellence. He discussed career growth opportunities within luxury hospitality, drawing from his own professional journey with The Oberoi Group.
A key highlight of the session was the discussion on sustainable hospitality practices. Mr. Raman explained the importance of responsible resource utilization, waste management, eco-friendly operations, and ethical practices adopted by leading hotel brands. The interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify their queries related to internships, interviews, and career planning.
