On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, an awareness event was organized at the New Delhi Tuberculosis Centre. The Theme is “Yes! We can end TB Commit, Invest, deliver” The event aimed to spread awareness about TB, its prevention, and treatment while engaging students in educational and creative activities. Students from Galgotias School of Nursing actively participated in the event, contributing to the cause through their informative and artistic expressions. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with a special focus on community engagement and public health education. The event commenced with a formal inauguration, where eminent healthcare professionals and faculty members addressed the gathering. They emphasized the significance of raising awareness about TB, given its status as one of the most serious infectious diseases affecting millions worldwide. The speakers highlighted the role of nursing students in patient care, disease prevention, and public health advocacy.One of the major attractions of the event was the poster competition, where students from Galgotias School of Nursing presented visually compelling posters illustrating various aspects of TB, including its transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive measures.

The participants displayed exceptional creativity and knowledge, making it a highly informative segment of the event. To recognize and appreciate the efforts of the participants, a prize distribution ceremony was held. Ms. Gurpreet Ma’am, a distinguished faculty member, had the honor of presenting certificates to the winners of the slogan competition. The students who secured the first and second positions were awarded certificates in acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions. Their slogans were praised for their clarity, creativity, and strong impact in conveying TB awareness messages. The event successfully fulfilled its objective of raising awareness about tuberculosis while engaging students in meaningful activities. It served as a platform for young nursing students to enhance their understanding of TB and its implications, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to public health initiatives in their future careers.The participation and enthusiasm displayed by the students of Galgotias School of Nursing were commendable.
