The Galgotias School of Nursing, in association with PGICH Hospital, Sector 30 Noida, celebrated World Polio Day on 24th October 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about polio vaccination and reinforce the significance of eradicating this preventable disease.In alignment with the theme of "let’s End Polio" the students of Galgotias School of Nursing actively participated in a series of activities designed to engage and educate the community. A poster making competition was held, where students creatively depictedthe importance of vaccination and the strides made in combating polio. The vibrant posters showcased not only artistic talent but also a deep understanding of the challenges and milestones in the global fight against polio.

To further emphasize the message, a skit was performed by the students, highlighting the role of vaccination in preventing polio and the impact of community awareness in driving immunization efforts. The engaging performance captured the audience's attention and successfully conveyed the urgency of ensuring widespread immunization coverage.

The event witnessed the presence of faculty members, medical professionals from PGICH Hospital, and enthusiastic students who united with the common goal of spreading awareness and encouraging vaccination.

Speaking on the occasion, the Medical Director of PGICH hospital Dr. Prof. A. K. Singh said , "Through such initiatives, we hope to empower our students and the community at large to play an active role in disease prevention. Polio eradication remains a top priority, and awareness is the first step towards a polio-free world."
