The Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering organised a cultural event “THE ACME GALA” by ACME, the Cultural & Technical Society, at C-Block New Auditorium, Galgotias University Campus, Greater Noida on 23rd September, 2025.
Event Detailed Description
The participants were undergraduate students from the Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering of Galgotias University. 30 entries were registered. The event aimed to celebrate creativity and cultural heritage, coinciding with the festive spirit of 1st Anniversary of ACME.
India’s cultural heritage has always been recognized globally for its diversity, vibrancy, and ability to bring people together through music, dance, and art. In educational institutions, such cultural programs not only preserve traditions but also provide a platform for students and teachers to showcase their creativity and talent. These events become a medium of learning beyond academics, fostering teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging among participants. Recognizing the importance of cultural engagement, Club ACME successfully organized its 1st Anniversary Cultural Event
The auditorium was filled with energy and enthusiasm as nearly 400 audience, including students, faculty members, and invited guests, joined to witness the program. The performances began with a soulful invocation in the form of a classical dance recital, representing India’s traditional art forms. The elegance of the movements and the synchronization of the performers set the tone for the evening, capturing the audience attention instantly. Following this, a melodious singing performance filled the hall with harmony, presenting both classical ragas and popular numbers. The blend of tradition and modernity reflected the versatility of the student community.
Adding to the excitement, a live music band performance by students electrified the atmosphere. The band showcased remarkable talent with instrumental and vocal coordination, earning thunderous applause from the audience. The highlight of the event was the special segment where teachers performed alongside students, symbolizing the bond between mentorship and creativity. This collaborative effort was deeply appreciated by the audience, as it reflected the spirit of unity and mutual respect within the university.
The student volunteers of Club ACME contributed with dedication in managing stage coordination, technical setup, and hospitality for the guests. Their behind-the-scenes efforts ensured that the program ran seamlessly, allowing performers to give their best on stage.
The competition was evaluated by a panel of 8 esteemed judges including Dr. Sudhir Singh, Dean Engineering, Dr. Meenakshi Awasthi, Prof. & Head, DEECE, Dr. Usha Chauhan, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Dr. Sheetla Prasad, Dr. Indu, who assessed the entries based on creativity, originality, and overall presentation. The judges provided valuable feedback and encouragement to all participants, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and artistic expression. The event co-coordinators were Dr. Komal Agrawal, Ms Rajni Prashar and Dr. Divya Sharma.
A special note of appreciation goes to the dedicated volunteers Nitesh Kumar Pal, Deepak Kumar, Anirudh Dwivedi, Md. Adnan Khan, Aakansha Joshi, Nilesh Singh, Yash Yadav, Manish Mandal, Kratika Srivastava, Prakhar Rai who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth execution of the event. The success of this competition would not have been possible without their invaluable support.
New team was announced with signing off of final year team. President Deepak Kumar, Vice-President(s) under various heads- Anirudh Dwivedi, Nilesh Singh, Yash Yadav, Manish Mandal, Dheeraj Patel and Amartya Jain.
The competition not only highlighted the talents of the students but also fostered a sense of community and celebration within the department.

Event Outcome: The 1st Anniversary Cultural Event of Club ACME was a grand success, with around 450 attendees enjoying performances in classical dance, singing, live music, and teacher–student collaborations. The program showcased student creativity, strengthened bonds between faculty and students, and promoted teamwork among volunteers. Overall, it celebrated cultural richness while markingan important milestone for Club ACME, leaving participants motivated and inspired for future endeavours.
