Symposium on Pulmonary Rehabilitation

On 13th April 2025, the Department of Physiotherapy, Galgotias University, in collaboration with HealthSpecifics Academy, organized a full-day Symposium on Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The event aimed to enhance knowledge, encourage academic exchange, and promote innovation in pulmonary rehabilitation practices.
The day began with Registration and a Welcome Ceremony, featuring traditional greetings and ceremonial arrangements. The Inaugural Ceremony followed, with a welcome address by Dr. Sumanta Ghosh and speeches by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Ashish Jain, Dr. Mayank Saxena, Dr. Tanushree Gahlot, and others. The session was marked by lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana.
The Scientific Sessions commenced with expert talks by leading pulmonologists, including Dr. Ashish Jain (Max Smart Hospital), Dr. Mayank Saxena (Fortis Hospital), and Dr. Tanushree Gahlot (Fortis, Greater Noida). Each speaker delivered impactful lectures on current practices in pulmonary care.
The event also featured a Panel Discussion on innovations and challenges in pulmonary rehabilitation, followed by a networking lunch.
In the afternoon, there were research presentations and a special talk on Non-Invasive Ventilation by Dr. Sumanta Ghosh and Dr. Neha. A Research Competition was held, where students presented papers, posters, and models, evaluated by a panel of moderators.
The day concluded with an Awards and Recognition Ceremony where top presenters were honored, and a thank you note by Dr. Sumanta Ghosh highlighted the success of the event.
The symposium fostered a collaborative environment for students and professionals, strengthening clinical and academic excellence in the domain of pulmonary rehabilitation.
