Organizing a Leprosy Programme on world Leprosy day

Event brief description 

On the occasion of Leprosy Day, a special awareness programme was organized on January 30, 2025. The event was graced by esteemed guests Dr. Sudershan Mandal and Dr. Basant Goyal.

The session began with a keynote address by Dr. Sudershan Mandal, who provided an insightful talk on Leprosy, covering its causes, manifestations, and management. His session helped in spreading awareness about the disease, breaking myths, and emphasizing early diagnosis and treatment.

Following the informative session, our nursing students performed a role play in front of the patients, effectively demonstrating real-life scenarios, early signs of leprosy, and the importance of timely medical intervention. The engaging performance helped convey crucial messages about stigma reduction and patient care.

The programme concluded with a closing note by our guests, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and students in raising awareness about leprosy.

The event was a successful initiative in educating both students and patients about leprosy and its management, reinforcing the importance of "Ending Stigma and Advancing Care."
