The Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical and Allied Sciences (SMAS), in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), organized the National Pharmacy Week on 19th November 2024, under the theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacy.” This event aimed to highlight the pivotal role of pharmacy in healthcare and foster awareness about the profession's contributions to society.

The celebration featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Rajesh Aggrawal, General Manager at Modi Mundi; Mr. Ashutosh Trivedi, Senior Research Manager at Pharmazzz India Pvt. Ltd.; and Md. Dawood Alam, Associate Director at Engender Health. They delivered an insightful session on the topic “Contraceptive Advisory in Pharmacy,” emphasizing the critical role of pharmacists in promoting reproductive health and advising on contraceptive options.

The event also witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, Mr. Kalhan Bazaz, President of IPA, Delhi State Branch, and Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Honorary Secretary of IPA, Delhi State Branch. A special poster was released during the event, symbolizing the theme and objectives of National Pharmacy Week, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
