Event Detailed Description

The ICGBC-2025 commenced on April 12, 2025, at the Vivekanand Auditorium, Galgotias University, with dignitaries including Chief Guest Major General Dr. Dilawar Singh and Guest of Honor Mr. Roopesh Bhaskar (GM-HR, ONGC). Following registration and the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Lalit Kumar Sharma, Conference Convener, outlined the conference's focus on bridging sustainability and business. Dean Dr. Jagannath Mohanty stressed the need to embed sustainability into business strategies.

Mr. Bhaskar discussed HR’s role in sustainability and shared ONGC’s green HR practices, urging companies to align profitability with environmental responsibility. Major General Dr. Singh emphasized sustainability as a global responsibility and advocated for strategic, resource-conscious business practices. The inauguration concluded with memento distribution and a vote of thanks.

Technical Session 1, Sustainable Marketing Strategies, featured speakers such as Mr. Vikas Mahajan (VP, Yatra Online), Mr. Nadeem Mallick (Business Unit Head, AWM), and Mr. Vinayak Lal (AVP, DS Group). They highlighted consumer engagement, green branding, and the growing demand for eco-conscious products. Dr. Subrato Ganguly presented research on integrating sustainability into marketing. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A.

Technical Session 2, Green Financing and Sustainable Investment, included CA Maharshi Gaur, Mr. Jayant Srivastava (Sr Manager, KPMG), and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Jha. They explored financial tools like green bonds, ESG investing, and case studies showcasing successful green finance integration.

Technical Session 3, Sustainable Human Resource Management, featured Ms. Savita Nair (VP, Quadrangle), Ms. Indrani Nath (Siemens Energy), and Dr. Anamika Pandey. Discussions centered on HR’s evolving role in promoting sustainability, upskilling employees, and aligning workforce development with green goals.

On April 13, Technical Session 4, Optimizing Operations for Sustainability, was led by Dr. Animesh Puri, Dr. Pradeep Prabhakar Pai, and Dr. Vivek Agarwal. They addressed ethical sourcing, circular supply chains, and tech-enabled supply chain transparency.

Technical Session 5, Data-Driven Sustainability, featured Mr. Rohit Churamani (MD, I3RC), Mr. Suneel Wattal (BDO), Mr. Deepak Singhal (Comviva), and Dr. Priyanka Malik. Presentations focused on using big data, predictive analytics, and visualization to drive sustainability performance and informed decision-making.

An Online Technical Session on Cross-Cultural Dimensions of Sustainability featured Ms. Irina Nivikova, Dr. Mujtaba Momin, and Dr. Rahul Sharma. The panel discussed how global sustainability standards must adapt to local cultural and socio-economic contexts for effective implementation.

The Research Paper Presentation saw 100 abstracts and 52 full papers received, with 44 presented. The best paper awards went to Dr. Govind Nath Srivastava (Faculty), Ms. Nishtha (Scholar), and Mr. Sachin (Student). Evaluators included experts from NIFTEM, Christ University, and Symbiosis.

The conference concluded with a valedictory session acknowledging participants and contributors. ICGBC-2025 successfully created a platform for dialogue and collaboration on sustainable business practices and global economic challenges.
