The IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter (SBC), Galgotias University, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering (DEECE), organized the IEEE IAS Design Thinking Project Expo. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase innovative projects based on design thinking approaches and solutions aligned with real-world challenges and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Detailed Description

On 23rd December 2025, the IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter (SBC), Galgotias University, successfully organized the IEEE IAS Design Thinking Project Expo in collaboration with the Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering (DEECE). The expo was conducted with the objective of encouraging innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students through the application of design thinking principles.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who presented projects addressing practical challenges in society, technology, sustainability, and industry. Each project demonstrated a structured design thinking process, including problem identification, ideation, prototyping, and solution development.

Faculty members and IEEE representatives visited the exhibition stalls and interacted with the participants. Students explained the motivation behind their projects, technical implementation, and the potential real-world impact of their solutions. Special emphasis was placed on projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the role of engineering in building a sustainable future.

The expo created an engaging learning environment that promoted peer-to-peer learning, innovation culture, and confidence among participants. It also provided students with valuable exposure to presenting technical ideas and receiving constructive feedback.
