The Galgotias School of Nursing organized an Expert Talk on the Safe Delivery App Module on 14th October 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session aimed to enhance nursing students’ understanding of digital tools that promote safe maternal and newborn care. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Maternity Foundation under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Lekha Bist, Dean, School of Nursing.

The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Shivani, who warmly greeted the distinguished guests, faculty members, and students. She highlighted the importance of adopting digital health innovations like the Safe Delivery App to strengthen clinical practice and improve maternal health outcomes.

Event Detailed Description 

The introductory session was taken by Ms. Bright Mary, Head of Clinical and Program, Maternity Foundation, who shared insights about the vision and purpose of the Safe Delivery App. She explained how the app serves as an evidence-based learning tool for healthcare providers, offering animated instructional videos and clinical guidelines to support safe delivery practices even in low-resource settings.

Following this, Ms. Parul Dewett, Senior Program Officer, Maternity Foundation, conducted a demonstration on how to download and use the Safe Delivery App. She guided the students through each step, explaining its key features and practical applications.
