Expert Lecture on Career Counselling: Scope Beyond School Teaching

The School of Education at Galgotias University organised a career counselling session on 21st September 2024 titled "Scope Beyond School Teaching". The session aimed to provide students pursuing B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes with insights into career options outside of traditional school teaching roles.

The esteemed speaker for the event was Mr. Ashish Sharma, a seasoned trainer with extensive experience in career development and professional growth. Mr. Sharma shared his expertise with students on various pathways they can explore beyond conventional teaching. The objective of the session was to inspire future educators to consider diverse roles within the education sector and related industries.

During the event, Mr. Sharma emphasized key areas such as curriculum design, educational technology, policy-making, and roles in corporate training and human resource development. He also highlighted the importance of adaptability, lifelong learning, and networking as vital components for career advancement.

The event received positive feedback from students, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the eye-opening perspectives provided during the session. Students learned about the various options available for the trained teachers other than the school teaching roles. Many NGOs and CSR are recruiting the B.Ed. trained teachers for their projects. Even they may work for corporate worlds also.
