Event brief description –
An educational visit to Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) was organized by Galgotias school of Nursing under the guidance of Dr. Lekha Bist (Dean). The TNAI is a premier organization that represents the interests of Nursing professionals across India. Our visit aimed to gain insight into the organization's activities, goals, and contributions to the Nursing profession. The TNAI was established in 1908 and is headquartered in New Delhi. It was initially known as Association of Nursing Superintendents.
A total of 66 students 55 of B. Sc Nursing 1st semester and 11 students of 3rd Semester were accompanied by 5 faculties to the TNAI Greater Noida. During our visit, we were warmly received by the TNAI officials. We were briefed about the organization's history by Dr. Sri Vijay Laxhmi. There are various initiatives undertaken by the TNAI, including:
- Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) to update nurse’s knowledge and skills.
- The organization promotes nursing research and publishes a journal to disseminate research findings.
- TNAI members receive benefits like scholarships, awards, and access to conferences and workshops.
Event Detailed Description-
We also had the opportunity to interact with TNAI members, who shared their experiences and challenges. Students gained valuable insights into the nursing profession and the importance of organizations like TNAI in supporting nurses. The TNAI has been instrumental in promoting the nursing profession, improving nursing education, and advocating for nurses' rights.
At the end of the visit refreshment was distributed to all the students and faculty members.
