Galgotias University, in collaboration with ISIEINDIA, successfully hosted the 2nd edition of the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC-3000) from March 27 to April 2, 2025. As India’s premier green mobility competition, the event attracted over 600 participants from across the country, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in electric and solar vehicle technology.

The championship featured two major competitions: the SIEP E-Bike Challenge and the ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Rally. Teams underwent rigorous technical inspections, safety evaluations, and performance tests before competing in acceleration, braking, and endurance trials. The final races were held at the Galgotias University campus and Yamuna Expressway, culminating in a high-energy showcase of engineering excellence.

The E-Bike Challenge saw Team M V Tronics emerge as champions, with Team Falcon Racers and Team Dark securing runner-up positions. Meanwhile, in the ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Rally, Team Solarium claimed the top spot, followed by Team STES Hyperion.

With industry support from NBC Bearings (CK Birla Group), ESVC 2025 not only promoted innovation but also strengthened the bridge between academia and industry. Galgotias University continues to champion sustainable engineering, fostering the next generation of green mobility pioneers.

Event Detailed Description- Event Report: Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) 2025

Galgotias University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with ISIEINDIA (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers, India), successfully hosted the 2nd edition of the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC-3000) from March 27 to April 2, 2025. This prestigious event highlighted remarkable innovation, technical excellence, and a commitment to sustainable mobility by some of the brightest young engineering minds from across the country.

SIEP E-Bike Challenge & ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship

The championship featured two major segments:

1. SIEP E-Bike Challenge - A rigorous competition assessing the design, endurance, and efficiency of electric bikes, with extensive testing phases conducted on the university campus. 
2. ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship - A 300+ km rally from Greater Noida to Mathura, demonstrating solar and electric vehicle capabilities in real-world conditions.

Technical Inspections and Performance Evaluations

The competition entered a critical phase as teams underwent rigorous Technical Inspections (TI), ensuring vehicle safety, mechanical integrity, and electrical compliance. The inspection process included:

• Safety Technical Inspections – Verifying driver safety standards.
• Mechanical Clearance Assessments – Evaluating the durability of mechanical components.
• Electrical Clearance Checks – Ensuring the reliability of wiring and electrical systems.

Out of all participants:

• 20 teams cleared all technical inspections.
• 20 teams passed the braking test.
• 19 teams cleared the acceleration test.
• Four teams qualified for braking, two for acceleration, and two for hill climbing tests.
• One team met endurance testing requirements, while another was under review for potential disqualification.

A special Red Bull vehicle exhibition added to the excitement, captivating students and visitors with cutting-edge clean energy innovations.

The event concluded successfully on April 2, highlighting the technical expertise and innovation of young engineers from across India.

Top Performers in E-Bike Challenge 2025:

• Champion: Team M V Tronics (Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Tamil Nadu)
• 1st Runner Up: Team Falcon Racers (R.V.R & J.C College of Engineering, Andhra Pradesh)
• 2nd Runner Up: Team Dark (Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu)

Special Awards:

• Best Off-Roading Award: Team M V Tronics (Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Tamil Nadu)
• Best Hill Climb Award: Team Mechorse (SNS College of Technology, Tamil Nadu)
• Best Innovation Award: Team Dark (Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu)

Participants competed in a 45-minute endurance test over a 4.5 km track, showcasing exceptional engineering prowess and teamwork.

India’s First Solar Car Rally - ESVC-3000

The ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship reached its climax with the final rally on April 1, where teams demonstrated the endurance and efficiency of their solar-powered innovations.

Final Rally Race Winners (ESVC-3000):

• Champion: Team Solarium (PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra) - ₹1,00,000 Prize
• 1st Runner Up: Team STES Hyperion (Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra) - ₹50,000 Prize
