As India’s premier green mobility competition, the event attracted over 600 participants from across the country, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in electric and solar vehicle technology.
The championship featured two major competitions: the SIEP E-Bike Challenge and the ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Rally. Teams underwent rigorous technical inspections, safety evaluations, and performance tests before competing in acceleration, braking, and endurance trials. The final races were held at the Galgotias University campus and Yamuna Expressway, culminating in a high-energy showcase of engineering excellence.
The E-Bike Challenge saw Team M V Tronics emerge as champions, with Team Falcon Racers and Team Dark securing runner-up positions. Meanwhile, in the ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Rally, Team Solarium claimed the top spot, followed by Team STES Hyperion.

Galgotias University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with ISIEINDIA (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers, India), successfully hosted the 2nd edition of the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC-3000) from March 27 to April 2, 2025. This prestigious event highlighted remarkable innovation, technical excellence, and a commitment to sustainable mobility by some of the brightest young engineering minds from across the country.
Key Highlights of ESVC 2025
SIEP E-Bike Challenge & ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship
The championship featured two major segments:
- SIEP E-Bike Challenge - A rigorous competition assessing the design, endurance, and efficiency of electric bikes, with extensive testing phases conducted on the university campus.
- ESVC-3000 Solar Vehicle Championship - A 300+ km rally from Greater Noida to Mathura, demonstrating solar and electric vehicle capabilities in real-world conditions.
Technical Inspections and Performance Evaluations
The competition entered a critical phase as teams underwent rigorous Technical Inspections (TI), ensuring vehicle safety, mechanical integrity, and electrical compliance. The inspection process included:
- Safety Technical Inspections – Verifying driver safety standards.
- Mechanical Clearance Assessments – Evaluating the durability of mechanical components.
- Electrical Clearance Checks – Ensuring the reliability of wiring and electrical systems.
Out of all participants:
- 20 teams cleared all technical inspections.
- 20 teams passed the braking test.
- 19 teams cleared the acceleration test.
- Four teams qualified for braking, two for acceleration, and two for hill climbing tests.
- One team met endurance testing requirements, while another was under review for potential disqualification.
A special Red Bull vehicle exhibition added to the excitement, captivating students and visitors with cutting-edge clean energy innovations.
