Cleanliness Activity

Event brief description

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 4 and 1 of Galgotias University collaboratively organized the “Swachhata Hi Seva 2025” cleanliness activity on 4th October 2025 at the university campus. The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Unit 1 Program Officer, Ms. Pallavi, and Unit 4 Program Officer, Ms. Astha, with the active support of the Program Coordinator, Ms. Pranjali.

The event commenced with the distribution of masks, gloves, and garbage bags to all participating volunteers to ensure safety and hygiene during the activity. Ms. Pranjali addressed the students, highlighting the objectives and significance of the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and collective responsibility in maintaining a sustainable environment.

Following the briefing, the NSS volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive around Gate No. 2 and Gate No. 3 of Galgotias University. Students enthusiastically participated in collecting litter and segregating waste, demonstrating teamwork and commitment towards environmental well-being. The collected garbage was properly disposed of following eco-friendly practices.

The event also received media coverage support from Mr. Arun, from the Department of Mass Communication, who captured key moments of the activity. The successful completion of the cleanliness drive reflected the unity, discipline, and dedication of NSS volunteers, aligning with the vision of “Clean India, Green India.”

Overall, the event fostered a sense of responsibility among students towards cleanliness, sustainability, and social service.
