From Swift Playgrounds to Global Podiums—Galgotians Lead the Way.

On June 3, 2025, the iOS Development Centre at Galgotias University hosted “Bytes & Brews: A Swift Celebration”—a spirited event to honour the university’s stellar achievement in the Swift Student Challenge 2025, a prestigious global competition hosted annually by Apple.

With only 350 winners selected worldwide, the Swift Student Challenge recognises the brightest minds in app development—students who blend creativity, code, and cutting-edge problem-solving. This year, 10 students from Galgotias University emerged victorious, placing the university firmly on the global map for innovation and tech excellence.

This landmark achievement reflects the coding brilliance, perseverance, and future-ready mindset of Galgotians. Each winner crafted an original Swift Playgrounds app project that stood out among thousands of global submissions—demonstrating innovation, impact, and ingenuity.

In a proud and emotional moment, Honourable CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia felicitated the winners with a memento and a cash prize of ₹10,000, encouraging them to “turn projects into products and ideas into impact.” In his inspiring address, he urged the students to scale their winning creations toward commercialization and real-world utility.

The winners expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university and the centre for the mentorship, ecosystem, and unwavering support that powered their journey—from curiosity to code, and from campus to the global stage.
