Breast cancer Awareness Program

Event brief description –

Galgotias school of Nursing organised Breast cancer awareness program, theme – “No one should face breast cancer alone” collaboration with Sadhan Foundation. It was community awareness programme conducted at Tahirpur, Dilshad Garden Delhi - 110095. It was our privellage to create awareness among females of Tahirpur. I was the only faculty who went to Tahirpur with 6th Semester students and gathered females of rural area to educate them and give health education

Event Detailed Description- 

All the faculties (me and Sadhan foundation teachers) imparted knowledge about breast cancer awareness what are the myths followed by people, should not be taken forward. Breast cancer is a disease that occurs when abnormal breast cells grow out of control and form tumors. It can affect both men and women, but it's rare in men. There were few queries asked by females was solved by all the faculties present there. Pamphlets were distributed for better understanding and further record so they can refer to images made on that pamphlet for future use. Chart presentation and a role play were presented by the students of the Galgotias school of nursing. Then principal of Sadhan Foundation came and expressed her views about this event appreciated Galgotias school of Nursing faculties who took initiative to give health education and create awareness among people in rural areas. We are thankful to our Honourable Dean school of Nursing Prof. Dr. Lekha Bist; to guide us to organise this event and made it a success we all got such positive feedback after our programme all females were so happy to get new learning and agree to follow same from that day onwards. At the end certificates were provided by the Sadhan Foundation to all the students

Conclusion and Future Recommendations

The Breast cancer Awareness program at Galgotia University students as they gain knowledge and idea about Breast cancer is a disease that occurs when abnormal breast cells grow out of control and form tumors and how to help their peer in such cases.
