The seminar hosted Ms. Sweta Sahu, Centre Director, T.I.M.E. Greater Noida, as the expert speaker, who guided 60 students and 4 faculty members on problem-solving techniques, logical reasoning, and aptitude strategies essential for career advancement and competitive examinations.
The program directly supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by enhancing career literacy, skill orientation, and analytical readiness among engineering graduates.
Event Detailed Description
A seminar on “Think Smart: The Power of Aptitude” was successfully conducted for B.Tech. students with the aim of introducing them to aptitude tricks, logical reasoning, and the critical role of aptitude in effective career planning.
The session commenced at 1:30 PM in Room C-515, where the resource person, Ms. Sweta Sahu, Centre Director, T.I.M.E. Greater Noida, was formally welcomed by the Head of the Department, DEECE. Following the welcome address, the seminar proceeded with active participation from students. During the session, the speaker emphasized the significance of aptitude in shaping successful careers and explained how strong problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning play a vital role in competitive examinations and professional growth. The session focused on practical strategies to approach aptitude questions logically without depending on memorized formulas.
One of the key highlights was the introduction of simple and effective problem-solving techniques, including the division and reposition method, which enabled students to tackle complex aptitude problems with ease and accuracy. In addition, the speaker inspired students to continuously develop their analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and time management skills, highlighting these competencies as essential foundations for success in both academic pursuits and career advancement.
The seminar concluded with a closing address and vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Meenakshi Awasthi, HoD, who expressed appreciation to the speaker for her insightful and motivating session. The report was prepared and submitted by faculty coordinator Dr. Indu. The event ended on an encouraging note, leaving students better equipped, motivated, and confident about planning their future career goals.
