The Centre for Research in Environmental Law and Sustainability (CRELS), School of Law, Galgotias University, successfully hosted a distinguished guest lecture on January 11, 2025, at the C-Block Old Auditorium. The event featured Adv. Arjav Jain, a prominent advocate at the Supreme Court of India, known for his expertise in corporate and individual litigation. With a career shaped by his association with Mr. Pravir Kumar Jain, Advocate on Record, Adv. Jain recently contributed to the landmark case of Jugal Kishore Khanna v. Sudhir Khanna (2024), which redefined jurisprudence in family law litigation.
Adv. Jain delivered an insightful discourse on the evolving legal strategies in Climate Change Litigation, offering students a comprehensive understanding of environmental law and its application to global sustainability challenges. His practical insights and expertise equipped attendees with valuable knowledge about this critical and emerging legal domain.
The event also featured a keynote address by Dr. Smitha Nizar, Associate Dean, School of Law, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship. Faculty members Dr. Apoorva Roy, Ms. Pramadvara, and Mr. Kamaljeet Singh provided valuable guidance throughout the session.
Special gratitude was extended to Ms. Aradhana Galgotia, Hon'ble Director of Operations, and Prof. (Dr.) Aditya Tomer, Dean, School of Law, for their invaluable support and direction.
