On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Galgotias University, organized “Civil Eco-Drive 2025–26”, a tree plantation and environmental awareness campaign under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in the Name of Mother). The event was conducted on 05 June 2026 at the Alpha-2 Garden Area, Greater Noida, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental sustainability, enhance green cover, and encourage individuals to contribute actively towards ecological conservation. The campaign emphasized the emotional and cultural significance of planting a tree in honor of one’s mother, thereby fostering a sense of environmental responsibility while strengthening personal and social values.
