1st Lex Concordia Intra-Mediation Competition 2025

Event Date: 27th-28th March 2025

The 1st Lex Concordia Intra-Mediation Competition 2025, organized by the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), School of Law, Galgotias University, aimed at providing law students with a practical learning experience in mediation and negotiation.

Preliminary Rounds (27th March 2025)

The competition began with the Preliminary Rounds, conducted in an online format. Participants displayed their ability to balance legal reasoning with effective communication and problem-solving. The cases presented tested their ability to engage in interest-based negotiation, teamwork, and adaptability. Esteemed judges from the legal field evaluated each team and provided valuable feedback to refine their skills.

Semi-Final Rounds (28th March 2025)

The top four teams qualified for the Semi-Finals, which were held at Room A 405 B & A 207. The rounds witnessed a high level of competitive mediation, where teams were assessed on their ability to facilitate discussions, propose creative solutions, and advocate for their clients while maintaining neutrality. Judges' insightful feedback helped the participants further enhance their mediation techniques. After intense rounds, Team Code 03 and Team Code 11 advanced to the Final Round.

Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony (28th March 2025)

The Final Round, held in Room A 207, was the highlight of the competition, featuring the best two teams showcasing their advanced mediation and advocacy skills. The participants engaged in a rigorous dispute resolution process, displaying strategic reasoning, structured negotiation, and problem-solving. After an engaging session, Team Code 11 emerged as the Winner of the competition.

The event concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries, including:

The dignitaries commended the participants and highlighted the increasing importance of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the legal profession. The competition successfully encouraged students to explore mediation as a viable legal practice.
