Galgotias University established University Polytechnic with a mission to provide more opportunities for students who wish to pursue technical programs after completing Class 10. The University Polytechnic offers 3-year full-time programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The latest laboratories are available for conducting laboratory experiments in small groups, ensuring that every student receives the necessary attention. In addition to academic activities, the University Polytechnic is dedicated to the overall development of its students.
Diploma in Civil Engineering: The vision is to produce technical experts through continuous enhancement of students with an industrial approach, and the mission includes providing students with an industrial approach to learning, enhancing their knowledge of materials and equipment/machines, creating a learning environment where students can express their ideas and learn to implement them, and focusing on computer-based work to provide new ideas and vast skill proficiency.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The vision is to be a cradle for inventions and innovations that provides transformative education to create leaders and innovators, and generate new knowledge for society and industry. The mission includes imparting need-based Mechanical engineering knowledge through relevant curriculum, preparing employable personnel and entrepreneurs through industry-institute interaction, enriching departmental infrastructure and facilities, and inculcating a sense of discipline, responsibility towards society, and promoting lifelong learning.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: The vision is to provide excellent knowledge and enrich the problem-solving skills of students in the field of Electrical Engineering with a focus on preparing them for industry needs, recognized as innovative leaders, responsible citizens, and improving the environment. The mission includes preparing students with strong fundamental concepts, analytical capabilities, and skills, creating an ambiance of education through faculty training, self-learning, and sound academic practices, providing opportunities to promote organizational leadership and skills of students through various extracurricular activities and events, making the students as far as possible industry-ready to enhance their employability in the industries, and imbuing social awareness and responsibility in students to serve society and protect the environment.
Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering: The vision is to be an internationally recognized program that focuses on education coupled with innovative research and application of knowledge in the field of Electronics & Communication engineering for the future development of the community at large. The mission includes providing a learning ambiance to enhance innovations, problem-solving skills, and ethical responsibilities, providing a sound technical exposure and superior competence in building robust, scalable, and reliable electronics, establishing Industry-Institute Interaction programs to enhance entrepreneurship skills, and providing exposure to the latest tools and technologies in the area of Electronics & Communication engineering.
Diploma in Computer Science Engineering: The vision is to be recognized as a center of excellence for Diploma Computer Science & Engineering by imparting technical and professional skills. The mission includes preparing efficient technical graduates with a high level of knowledge and technological innovation, providing necessary support to the aspirants in their goal-oriented academic pursuits through value-aided curricular and co-curricular activities, achieving international standards of quality assurance in accordance with the needs in public and private sectors, and providing students with an academic environment of excellence, leadership, ethical guidelines, and lifelong learning needed for a long productive career.
The laboratory facilities at the institution are fully equipped with the latest technology in all fields. Students are provided with various opportunities to gain practical knowledge through industrial visits to companies such as Toyota, Ducat Pvt. Ltd., SmartBrains Engineers & Technologist Pvt. Ltd., and ELECTRONICA INDIA-India Expo Mart.
The institution also conducts workshops and training sessions on topics like PLC/SCADA, Digital Fabrication (FAB) Lab, 3D Printing, Auto CAD, React Java Script(JS) Library, IoT, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud Computing, Drone flying, etc. Additional value-added programs include Heartfulness Meditation and life-skills, Professional Communication, Personality Development and Enhancement of Employment Skills, PC Assembling and Troubleshooting, Disruptive Technology, and more. Students are also certified by Oracle Academy. Projects undertaken by students include the manufacturing of low-cost and efficient LED Bulb & Tubelight, and Smart E-Bike, Multi-Level Car Parking, Suspension Cable Bridge, Solar Air Purifier, Solar Grass Cutter, Thermo-electric Refrigerator, Drilling & Picking Machine, Drone Ambulance, Hologram Fan, and Automatic Car. Several student startups like Brighter Hub - an LED making startup by electrical students, Tea-Tree - a different flavor organic tea startup by electronics students, STARRYP&S TECH PVT LTD- develops the software, applications and manages all IT related services, PYASS- Fastest Water Providing Chain System by CSE students, SK Pvt Ltd, Nepal- Product based company, Data analysis & Database management have also been initiated.
