Mr. Shrikant Vidya

Assistant Professor

Mr. Shrikant Vidya is currently working as assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering since 2016. He believes in becoming a researcher, teacher and practitioner by creating, sharing and applying knowledge. He has taught various subjects such as Rapid Manufacturing Technologies, Additive Manufacturing, Tool Design, Operations Research, CAD/CAM, CIM, Machining Science & Technology, Modern Manufacturing Processes, Production Planning & Control, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics & Digital Fabrication, Fuels & Combustion, Electric & Hybrid Vehicles, Rapid Prototyping, Combustion Engineering and Automotive Chassis & Body Engineering. He has supervised more than 15 B. Tech projects and 2 M. Tech dissertations. His research interests span advanced manufacturing, micro manufacturing and additive manufacturing. He has published numerous research papers in SCI/SCOPUS indexed Journals on contemporary trends in mechanical and manufacturing engineering. In addition, he has translated NPTEL course Engineering Metrology offered by IIT Kanpur in Hindi language. He is working as departmental R&D Coordinator and criteria in charge of NBA and NAAC. Apart from this, he has been actively working for the setting of Additive Manufacturing laboratory and FAB Lab in university. He is a member of several professional bodies such as IEI, ISME and ISTE.
