Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the School of Media and Communication Studies, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. With a decade and a half in media education in the country, her last assignment was with Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune. Besides administration of the MA(MC) programme here, she headed the Online and Digital Learning MA(MC) programme and the institute’s social media branding. She brings versatility and credibility with her experience in academic administration. She works in the area of gender and media and writes on cinema and other mediated texts. Her research areas also include media pedagogy and netnography in the media and communication sphere. She is presently working on a co-edited book for Routledge. She is an alumna of School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and is associated with her Alma Mater in the capacity of a senate-approved external examiner.
