Dr. Kirti Sachdeva

Assistant Professor

Dr. Kirti Sachdeva is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Education, Department of English, Galgotias University. With interests in the discipline of Cinema adaptation, Kirti’s research area orbits around the cinematic adaptation of Shakespeare in India. Having completed her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) on the same topic, she aspires to explore the abundance of innovation, creativity and research embedded in the field of cinema adaptation. Kirti is a voracious reader and a passionate writer. 

Dr. Kirti has worked as a researcher at Research and Information System for Developing Nations (RIS), a think tank under the Ministry of External Affairs. She has been associated with international events like BIMSTEC- BRICS Engagement, BRICS Civil Forum 2016, Second IORA Blue Economy Dialogue, National consultation on sustainable management of water and sanitation for all under SDGs, to name a few. 

Qualifications

  • Completed Ph.D. on the adaptation of Shakespearean Tragedies from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2022). 
  • Completed MPhil in English Literature with first division from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2016). 
  • Completed Bachelors in Education with first division from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2013). 
  • Completed Master’s in English Literature with first division from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi (2012). 
  • Completed Bachelor’s in English Literature with first division from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi (2010).
