Dr. Deepak Kumar Soni

Assistant Professor (HOD)

Dr. Deepak Kumar Soni has been working as an Associate Professor (HOD) in the Department of Civil Engineering (DOCE) at Galgotias University (GU) Greater Noida, UP since July 2018. He did his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Water Resources Engineering) in 2020 from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (Haryana). His area of interest is Irrigation Engineering, On-farm reservoir, Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Integrated Water Resources Management, Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). At present, 01 Ph.D. Scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. under his esteemed supervision. Dr. Deepak Kumar Soni has also guided 06 Masters’ dissertations. He has conducted and attended a number of workshops and international conferences in the domain of Water Resources Engineering and Civil engineering. He has also published a number of Research Papers/Articles in the journals of National and International repute. Presently, he is acting as Head of the Department and Head Research Coordinator in the Department of Civil Engineering (DOCE). He has delivered a number of expert talks on Remote sensing and GIS Application, On-farm reservoir, Disasters Risk Management related area of interest in different reputed organizations. He has organized more than 20 co-curricular/Extracurricular events for the benefit of students in the past 4 years.
